I wasn’t impressed with this one at all, even though the wife loved it. You have to be very careful with the Lemon zest, it can be very overpowering. Secondly, I found out what was wrong with the folding of the lasagne sheets, it would help if I bought fresh not dried… duuuhhhhhh! So I made this with Cannelloni tubes instead which worked out rather well anyway.

I felt that the sauce was missing something, the wife said nutmeg, I thought meat. I love veggie as much as the next guy, and would have loved this to work, but I think I’m off to find another version of this recipe.

Absolutely amazing, I’m astounded how this turned out. The sauce was very watery, however served with rice really soaked up the bits and bobs.

We liked this, but there were a few extra points.

Firstly this is far from a one pot dish, the definition of a one pot dish is that everything goes in one pot. I fried the nuts in a small pan, and stir-fried the beef in my Wok. While stir-frying the beef, there was a considerable amount of juice from the beef, I drained this, turing it into a very very dry dish. But if I did keep the juices from the meat in the wok, it might have been too watery.

Regardless of what I said above, we’ll make this one again. Hopefully be more prepared than this time to clean up all the dishes involved in this ‘one-pot’.

Calvo a Spanish brand was charged with dumping…. Dumping occurs when a company sells a product in another country at prices below those offered in its own market.

However, they have rejoined the Earth Island Institute Dolphin Safe tuna program, convinced to buy and sell tuna that has been caught by methods that do not harm dolphins.

Whether they are misbehaving in any other way if for a more learned person or organisation to decipher.
